Pecan Tassie Recipe

1 - 4 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1/2 cup butter & 1 Tbsp. butter
1 cup flour (sifted)
1 egg, slightly beaten
chopped pecans
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup brown sugar, packet

Blend cream cheese & 1/2 cup butter until smooth. Add flour. Chill 1 hour. Shape into balls & press into small pastry or muffin tins. Stir together: eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, 1 Tbsp. butter, salt & nuts in a bowl. Fill pastry cups. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool & remove from cups to serve.

My Favorite Fruit Dip

- 8 oz. strawberry cream cheese
- 7 oz. marshmallow cream
- 1 Tbsp. orange juice

Soften cream cheese & wisk ingredients together. It's so easy & so delicious.

Heidi Templeton's Cowboy Caviar

This is so good! Make just before serving & serve with Fritos.

- 1 large can petite dice tomatoes, drained
- 1 can white shoepeg corn, drained
- 1 can black eyed peas
- 5 avocados, chopped

-1 pkg. Good Seasons Italian dressing mixed with:
- 2 Tbsp. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- juice from a lime
- chopped cilantro

This makes enough to feed an army, so sometimes I half it!

- 2 pkg. cherry Kool-Aid
- 20 oz. pineapple juice
- 12 oz. frozen orange juice
- 6 quarts water
- 2 pkg. orange Kool-Aid
- 12 oz. frozen lemonade
- 4 cups sugar
- 2 large bananas

Make sure to stir & stir to get the sugar dissolved. Freeze, crush, & serve with 7-up or Sprite (diet is just as good!).
